We’ve just added a new member to our Account Management team. Meet Rachel Rathore, she’ll be looking after Melbourne’s customers alongside Stephen and Gavin. If you’re a customer you will have been notified via email that Rachel is managing your account.
We thought it might be nice if we asked her a few questions so you can get to know her…
Tell us about yourself
I have been in Account Management for the majority of my career for over 18 years now, and for the last three years I have worked as a Client Director. I decided on a career change five years ago and moved into the IT industry, focusing on Enterprise Software Sales for a Northern-based reseller. I am committed to delivering the highest level of customer service and being a proactive sales consultant. I have extensive experience in identifying client needs and building solid client relationships. I love a good challenge and taking on new and exciting projects!
What are your hobbies and interests?
Family is very important to me and I like to take holidays in far-flung destinations. My favourite places are in the Indian Ocean and French Polynesia. I love art and interior design and try to keep up with this in my spare time, however there seems so little spare time these days!
How would you describe your new role at Melbourne?
I am an Account Manager, essentially looking after clients’ varied project requirements and ensuring that we achieve the best possible solution for them. Adding value is key to what I do, and I will be looking to continue with this and develop it further here at Melbourne.
What attracted you to Melbourne?
The company culture and ethos grew on me instantly, from my initial interview it was clear how passionate the management team are about their staff and developing them as individuals. It’s a good environment to be in, surrounded by likeminded people working as a team, so my decision was pretty easy! I also wanted to move to a ‘Managed Services’ Company as I see this sector as having huge growth potential in the coming years.
What is your favourite piece of tech?
My iPhone 6 without a doubt, I would be totally lost without it!
Which cartoon character would you be?
Where is your favourite place in the world?
Got to be two, Bora Bora in French Polynesia and the Maldives. Both pure luxury, true hidden jewels in the ocean. I love the barefoot chic laidback style where you can truly unwind and forget about ‘the modern busy world’.
If you could only use 3 words to describe yourself what would they be?
