Melbourne Creative Cup 2011

29 March 2011 | by Richard Legard

After Melbourne’s not so successful jaunt into the footballing world last year and our group stage exit, we’ve decided to enter the “Manchester Creative Cup” for a second year running with the aim of at least getting through the group stages this time.

The Creative Cup was the brainchild of Ian Cox a freelance designer from Manchester who wanted to combine his love of football with raising money for a worthy cause.

As we all enjoyed it so much last year and with the emphasis on the day being to raise money for charity, we’ve decided to be the headline sponsor for the event this year and try and help make it even bigger and better than last year and surpass the staggering £1900 raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

This year’s Creative Cup will be raising money for St Ann’s Hospice with the aim being to raise £3000. With this in mind and places going quickly, please enter your team here or e-mail: for further details.

With a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise being core to the success of Melbourne Server Hosting, it goes without saying that in general our footballing ability is below average with most members of staff preferring to play virtually rather than physically.

We look forward to this year’s Creative Cup and all the trash talking beforehand on Twitter #creativecup
