Customer Case Study: Looking4Parking.com
What is your name, what does your company do and how are you involved with Melbourne?
I’m Dave Greenbrown and I‘m a company Director for an airport parking company. We have a long standing relationship with Melbourne and I have used their service for as long as I can remember with this company and with some of my previous companies.
How do you benefit from Melbourne’s products and services and what is their support service like?
We use Melbourne’s dedicated servers for our ever-growing website. The support has always been very good – any problems have always been dealt with quickly and efficiently and they are always available for help and advice. They have a small team whom I have got to know well over the years and they are always on top of things and know what’s what when I call!
What prompted you to use Melbourne?
Melbourne offers a more dedicated service than many other providers, which is what we wanted. Their customer service is superb also and it’s very easy to get in touch with them with any problems should they arise. They offer a much more personal approach and have a small team there so you can speak to one person rather than being sent from pillar to post like many companies often do. The small team means that even if the same person is unavailable you can easily get to know the team and they get to know your particular circumstances. It was a while ago when I first started using Melbourne so I don’t really remember how I first came to choose them to be honest.
Tell me more about your company.
We have been operating since 2009 and are a Leeds based company offering UK based port and airport parking in all 26 major airports. We are partnered with many companies which offer car parking facilities throughout the UK offering a variety of services in addition to the airport comparison site. Various parking options include park and ride, meet and greet, on-site and off-site parking and we personally meet every provider we use so that we can ensure quality and reliability throughout a range of services.
So do you ever get sales type calls from Melbourne pushing the hard sell?
We don’t get any sales calls at all which is great. Time is precious when you’re building a business and we never have any pushy sales or cold calls from Melbourne. They are always there to help though, when we need them, which is just exactly what we want.
Would you recommend Melbourne to other companies and what would you say about them?
I would definitely recommend Melbourne to anyone who is need of a hosting provider.
The nice thing about Melbourne is that they share our company’s ethos. They are there for you when you need them but aren’t in your face about their goods and services. They offer a great dedicated service you know you can depend on and are ‘on hand’ should there be any difficulties. Their customer service is probably one of the main things which set them apart from other companies. We have a trusted long term relationship with Melbourne and they offer competitive pricing and knowledge of our web server setup.
Okay. Have you got any comment to make about network speeds, or outages, or the reliability of the service?
We’ve never had any problems to be honest. The service has always been fast and reliable and we’ve no problems there at all.
How do you feel about the service you receive when you call Melbourne and talk to one of our operators? Is it like the usual company telephone service?
With it being a relatively small team it’s nice to know you can talk to the same people and not have to be constantly relaying the message to different people. The people are always very easy to talk to, professional and helpful. I rarely have to talk to anyone though since there have not been any real problems -touch wood!
One of Melbourne’s differences is that they have their own data centres. They don’t just rent someone else’s. Is that an important factor in dealing with Melbourne?
Well I suppose it points to the fact that they are in charge of their own stuff and that they are not simply a middle man for another organisation. The fact that they have their own data centres means that they are in charge and I suppose it sets them apart from organisations that don’t have this full control.
