SAN Space
SAN Space
Our iSCSI SAN storage service allows you to offload live file serving (iSCSI) to one redundant, scalable storage array.
SAN storage is primarily useful for situations where a clustered file system between multiple servers is required, but can also be used as a simple external high-volume, high-speed file storage location.
iSCSI storage is a way to provide scalable storage space to any number of servers over a network. Traditional SAN’s require special cables to connect target (storage arrays) and initiator (client servers) devices together. With iSCSI, you get the same performance and scalability over a standard IP network.
Main Features
- Mount logical storage volumes over the network as if they are physical disks installed inside the server
- Provides additional data redundancy
- Provides faster I/O performance than internal disks
- Highly scalable – storage space can be expanded at any time
- Choose from SATA or SAS space
- Can be replicated to our offsite backup SAN.
