Dedicated Server Addons
We're not here to sell you all the extras, unless you actually need them. Anyway, below are descriptions of the various additional facilities you can add to your server.
Offsite Network Attached Storage (NAS) Space
NAS space on shared storage server
Backup your files automatically and easily with offsite NAS space. We manage the NAS server and inter-datacentre connection, meaning you can simply attach the NAS as a storage device, or access by FTP if you prefer. Space is available in chunks of 10GB, at a price of £10 per 5GB per month.

Dedicated NAS servers
For customers who need more space, we now offer the option of a dedicated NAS device located offsite, connected via a private VLAN. The NAS server comes with between 500GB and 2TB of storage, and a dedicated 10Mbps or 100Mbps link back to your server(s). If you have multiple servers, you'll get the additional benefit of your servers all being connected up by a second, private, unmetered network connection.
You can order NAS space when you're placing your order, or alternatively, add it to your server later.

KVM over IP access
KVM basically gives you hands-on control as if you were sat at your server with a keyboard, monitor, and mouse attached. No longer have the fear of locking yourself out of your server by installing a firewall, or worrying about rebooting a server and it not coming back up.
You simply download the KVM client software, and then connect to your server's console securely over this interface.
KVM over IP should be used only as an emergency recovery measure and should not be used for general administration of servers, for which Remote Desktop or SSH is more appropriate.
Dedicated Hardware Firewall
As standard you get a private port on our UltraFire™ datacentre firewalls, which gives you a "virtual" firewall, fully under your control. You can edit the rules through a web-based control panel. Our firewalls are configured in failover pairs such that if the primary firewall fails, the secondary will take over within a matter of seconds.
In some cases customers need a dedicated firewall(s) either due to high load or high complexity of application. In these cases we're able to put customised solutions in place.

UltraVPN™ VPN Endpoint
If you need to create a secure tunnel from your office(s) or home-worker locations, to your server(s), a dedicated UltraPoint VPN Endpoint may be what you need.

High-Availability Failover
If you have more than one server, and need to load balance the requests to them, take a look at our UltraLoad™ high-availability load balancing service. You can either take a port on a shared load balancer cluster, or if your traffic levels demand it, take a dedicated pair.
