Melbourne Man’s Charity Run Raises £770

3 November 2016 | by Natalie Fayle

A few months ago we realised that we were a bit behind on our charity fundraising. We wanted a creative way to raise money and spread the message about a cause we felt passionate about.

So we commissioned Melbourne Man, a runner game featuring a character based on our support superheroes here in the office.  The premise was simple, help Melbourne Man run further than 500m and we’ll donate £5 per person to charity.

We asked our customers and friends on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to join in and we’re very pleased to announce that you helped us raise a total of £770!

We chose Lumos as our nominated charity as they’re a client of a fellow iomart Group company so we’d heard about the great work they do. The charity was founded by J.K. Rowling and works to support the 8 million children in institutions worldwide to regain their right to a family life and to end the institutionalisation of children.

We’d like to thank everyone who took part and congratulate Rhodri from KMP who won the prize draw to win an iPad Mini, your prize is on its way!
