When I was 10 years Old – by Palangfat Jama #weareten #wheniwas10

THE GREAT YEAR OF 1998!

It all began on a lovely summer day, and what a great day it was. Early Monday Morning (the violin playing in the background begins) a lovely, plump cheeked, curly haired beauty was born. Brought into the world as a blessing from above, Palangfat was born. Yes you’ve guessed it, she is Melbourne’s own Nubian Queen!
So 10 years down the line, other memorable events took place, obviously not as significant as 10 years before, but definitely good to know :-)

In the movies were comedies such as Rush Hour, great cartoons like A Bugs Life, and for all those action lovers, Enemy of The State.
Sports Highlights that took place this year were The Baseball World Series being won by the NY Yankees, FIFA World Cup won by France, in France, and the Tennis Wimbledon won by Pete Sampras and Jana Novotna.
In the News, to name a few, the Millennium Dome construction begins, Rolls-Royce Motors acquired by BMW, Arsenal secure the Premier League title with a 4-0 win over Everton, and also beat Newcastle United 2-0 in the FA Final!!!! Com’on!!
Last but not least, and definitely dear to my heart is the topic of music. In the Music Charts were great and unforgettable hits such as ‘The Boy is Mine’ by Brandy and Monica, ‘Getting’ Jiggy With It’ by Will Smith (I’m doing the dance from the video in my head right now lol), ‘How do I live’ by LeAnn Rimes, ‘All my Life’ by K-Ci and JoJo, ‘Candle in The Wind’ by Elton John, and the all-time classic ‘My Heart Will go on’ by Celine Dion. Thinking back, there are so many to mention, wow, what a great year of music! I think the music this year is what inspired me to learn the saxophone lol!

See you all on Thursday@6pm to join us in celebrating our *10th Birthday*!!
